diaNEOsis: The Social State and Constitutional Revision – Participation of Professor Konstantinos Kremalis
On Thursday, June 26, 2025, diaNEOsis organized the seventh thematic session of its series of events on the planned constitutional revision, under the title “Social State.” The event took the form of an open conference, aiming to provide a systematic presentation and public discussion of key issues concerning the social state and its constitutional foundations.
The session was moderated by Professor Patrina Paparrigopoulou, Professor of Public Law at the Law School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA), with opening remarks delivered by Dionysis Nikolaou, General Director of diaNEOsis.
The event included two discussion panels and a roundtable. The first panel featured distinguished academics including Platon Thinios, Theodora Antoniou, Andreas Tsourouflis, and Panagiotis Liargovas, coordinated by Ioannis Sarmas. The second panel hosted Angelos Stergiou, Olga Zygoura, Konstantinos Efentakis, and Iraklis Paterakis, moderated by Panagiotis Tsakloglou.
Professor Konstantinos Kremalis, Emeritus Professor of Social Security Law at the Law School of NKUA and Managing Partner at KREMALIS Law Firm, participated in the roundtable, contributing his extensive expertise and insights on the operation and challenges of the social state. The roundtable also included Stamatina Giannakourou, Artemis Anagnostou-Dedouli, and Panagiotis Xenos, enriching the discussion with diverse academic and professional perspectives.
The event concluded with an open discussion with participants, offering a comprehensive scientific analysis of issues related to the social state and its constitutional revision.
