Greece has amended its immigration procedures in the context of the Covid-19 crisis.<\/p>\n

For non-EU citizens and given the current Covid-19, situation, the submission of asylum applications for those entering Greece illegally was suspended for one month (Legislative Act No. 45\/2-03-2020). These individuals would return to their country of origin without registration.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In addition, the duration of residence permits has been extended (Legislative Act no. 55\/11-03-2020) and the validity of national entry visas that expired after 11 March 2020 or will expire by 31 August 2020 is automatically extended until 30 September 2020 (Legislative Act 84\/13-04-2020).<\/p>\n
